Department Lead, Engineering will be responsible for leading the NA Planters and Seeders new products Engineering team. Having the Farmer First Mindset, focusing on exceeding farmer’s expectations and delivering the best return on investment for our customers, will manage the team accountable for the development and validation of new solutions for frames, commodities, and row units for seeding products, ensuring each seed is correctly placed in all farming conditions. You will partner with cross functional teams will deliver an optimized design for durability, manufacturability, serviceability, and sustainability. The position reports directly to Platform Lead Engineer and is part of a strong and collaborative team, focused on delivering the best products for the farmers.

 

Your Impact

  • Lead and develop North America Planters and Seeders Engineering department, responsible for designing, developing, validating, and launching new products.
  • Lead the technical development of new and improved planters and seeders for North America and Global markets.
  • Estimate projects and department expenses, managing these expenses during budget cycles to deliver according to estimates.
  • Develop project schedules and track them to deliver according to projects deadlines.
  • Represent Planters and Seeders Engineering in internal cross functional meetings, as well as externally with dealers, customers, and institutions.

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Mechanical, Ag or Mechatronic Engineering Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 10+ years on engineering assignments to gain a mastery of complex engineering and manufacturability concepts.
  • Experience leading directly or indirectly Engineering teams.
  • Experience in development of complex off-road or agricultural equipment, in particular planters and seeders.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
