JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence seeks a Customer Service Representative for the Pollock Testing Center. The responsibilities of the position include: checking students into the Testing Center; helping students resolve test registration issues; providing information and guidance on the check-in process; and monitoring in-progress testing. You will also interact with faculty who schedule quizzes and exams in the center, which includes answering routine questions about the Center’s procedures and collecting information from the instructor to schedule exams. This position also includes responsibilities to contribute to scanning and processing paper exam answer sheets.
This is a 75% full-time equivalency (FTE) job with full Penn State benefits. The working period is mid-August through mid-May and the work schedule is second shift, and is typically 2:45 pm - 11:45 pm during each semester; the flexibility to take an occasional morning shift is a plus. This is an on-site position.
Education and experience:
This position typically requires a minimum of a High School diploma and three years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
The successful candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, and be detail-oriented. Prior experience working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures is preferred. Computing and word processing skills are required.
