Epic Aura Application Manager

Summary  

 Provides oversight and resource allocation for Epic Aura application implementation and upgrade projects. Coordinates application support for live accounts in the clinical and business departments across the organization. Executes and maintains technology strategies by managing resources, researching approaches, and implementing strategic technological solutions. 

Job Responsibilities 

• Provides oversight and guidance to Epic analysts as well as resource allocation for Epic Aura implementations  

• Coordinates Epic Aura application support and optimization for the organization 

• Executes and maintains technology strategies by managing resources, researching approaches, and implementing strategic technological solutions 

• Responsibility for execution includes implementation of applications from outside vendors, both on premises and cloud, as well as designing, developing, and testing custom built software and application interfaces 

• Escalates support issues with vendors and other teams as necessary to deliver a high level of customer service to patients and users 

• Responsible for ensuring that application configuration, interfaces between applications, processes, procedures, and software are adjusted and improved to resolve issues impacting operations within the organization 

• Escalate concerns to leadership to ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion 

• Maintains remote staff by supporting and providing guidance to employees; develops personal growth opportunities and development plans for continued employee growth 

• Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements 
• Proactively identifies areas of improvement (process or technical) and develops plans to implement those improvements

Education, Experience, and Skills 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Clinical Technology related area 

• Four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree 

• Minimum 5-7 years of IT experience 

• Other Minimum Qualifications: Must be analytical, dependable, and detail oriented 

• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have a command of the English language (both written and oral) 

• Must demonstrate solid leadership and presentation skills 
• Must be self-initiated, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be customer service oriented 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 

• Epic certification in Epic Aura related applications (i.e. Beaker, Ambulatory, Bridges) 

Physical Demands 

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. 

Work Environment  

• Work is primarily performed in a remote office setting.
