Product Lead Finance & Risk Reconcilliation

As Product Lead Finance & Risk Reconciliation you provide functional expertise on reconciliation, including matching, and the technical implementation of the reconciliation mechanisms in MMT and FRIDA and this in support of major regulatory programs.

Team

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) domain builds bridges within ING linking to almost every part of the bank. Its purpose is to drive secure, efficient processes for our customers and colleagues. ING wants to set up a bank-wide COO organisation that's ready for the future, with scalable, seamless, digital, and resilient operations.

To help us achieve this, COO identified three main ways to make the most impact:

• Building a network organisation: more networking and cross-border collaboration.

• Consolidating the organisation: share capabilities and services in locations where we can best embed these.

• Digitalisation/straight-through processing: making our processes end-to-end to provide a seamlessly digital experience for our customers.

Global COO Finance is an independent unit within ING’s COO domain, reporting hierarchically into ING’s Chief Financial Officer and functionally into ING’s Chief Operations Officer.

Global COO Finance (COOF) is accountable for designing the global finance operations and technology strategy (together with ING’s TECH organisation) and optimising productivity and customer satisfaction in Operations to improve operational efficiency. It is accountable for executing ING Finance and COO strategy to evolve towards one global digital bank, is responsible for performance of Operations, the operating model, decisions on sourcing and all relevant regulatory and Risk topics.

Your job is to lead a number of squads with a related purpose to develop, implement and/or maintain products and services. You have an end-to-end strategic focus around your services and leads your squads in terms of clear prioritization, accountability and capabilities. The Product Lead is a position where all elements of a product come together, the what and the how, with an end-to-end transformation responsibility. You work not only on delivery and on how we run a product, but also on creating a vision on how we improve our services, how we manage the business value and how we increase collaboration across functions.

The role

You are responsible for the execution of all activities of your organisation in Netherlands, ING Hubs and with our SSI partners in India, including risk & control activities to remain in control of risks and keeping the bank safe. You do that by steering squads who work on a specific service by providing them with a strategic direction, by coaching them on the job, defining the product roadmap and by managing stakeholders. The people who work in the squads report to you, which means it is your job to empower them to thrive and perform at their best. You set direction, you help them to develop their craftsmanship and you have continuous conversations about their career development. As a Product Lead you report hierarchically to the Tribe Lead Granular Reporting.

The Granular Reporting Tribe focuses on delivery of all change of all change and operations of the necessary data and reporting solutions for the  granular reporting.  Besides that the tribe is responsible for developing, operating and maintaining FRIDA, Ferdi, and the F&R Tenant. The squads within the tribe are grouped into five (5) introduced products: 

• Financial Supervisory Reporting: Ensure the delivery the Financial Supervisory Reporting, such as the DGS reporting, in line with the regulatory requirements.  This includes the necessary change and operational activities.

• Granular Regulatory Reporting: Ensure the delivery of the AnaCredit, CRE, RRE, and similar granular regulatory reporting, in line with the regulatory requirements.  This includes the necessary change and operational activities. This product will also support the existing FeRDI implementations.

• Entities Data Collection: Ensure the data collection on non-central data (countries & WB) for various initiatives such as ESG EUT/P3 / CSRD / Sustainable ESG.  This data will be delivered to in line with the architecture (e.g., to FRIDA).  This includes the necessary change and operational activities and will be done in close collaboration with the entities and the FRIDA teams.

• Finance & Risk Reconciliation: Provide functional expertise on reconciliation, including matching, and the technical implementation of the reconciliation mechanisms in MMT and FRIDA.
