This is a hybrid position based in the Nashville office with flexibility to work remotely from home.
About the Strategic Operations Analyst
Upperline Health is looking for a Strategic Operations Analyst to support strategic, clinical, and financial reporting needs across the company to help inform and improve operations, drive new initiatives, and ensure sound business decisions are made particularly related to our growing beneficiary population in ACO REACH and other risk-based agreements. The Strategic Operations Analyst will work directly with the corporate team including senior executives and regional operations leadership teams, to create KPI’s and regular reporting cadences for managing Upperline’s risk-based patient population as well as perform deeper analyses on specific topics, interpret the results and understand and communicate the trends.
To be successful at this position, you need to be self-motivated, have exceptional analytical skills, be willing to learn Athena (EMR) / Innovaccer (population health tool) and understand the business operations, as well as be extremely adept at Excel. What You'll Do:
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to general operations, patient engagement for ACO beneficiaries, key clinical areas to focus for ACO beneficiaries, and overall risk performance to be distributed to management to guide operational and financial discussions.
- Ad hoc analyses and dashboard creation related to performance and key questions for the value-based care business.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in datasets and help with problem solving.
- Work with executive leadership to support financial and operational analyses related to core strategic initiatives and identified special projects..
- Track and measure the implementation and execution of key strategic initiatives and identified special projects.
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, and clinic staff and work cross-functionally within units to ensure accurate data reaches all audiences.
- Operate within various data sources, including Athena (EMR) and Innovaccer (population health tool), to create consistent and accurate reports.
- Create the majority of reports in Excel and present in PowerPoint as needed.
- Develop a skill set in core technologies, expand technical capabilities within EMRs, and continually learn healthcare business competencies.
- Demonstrate analytical skills when problem solving, gathering reporting requirements and developing reports.
- Be prepared to switch priorities in a positive and effective manner when directed by leadership.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate standard definitions for reporting and assist in quality analysis review and ongoing report development.
- Manage a reporting repository for efficiency.
- Develop automations of recurring reports to improve efficiency of the reporting process.
- Develop ad-hoc operational and financial analyses based on needs from the field.
- Support analysis and materials for monthly financial review.
Qualifications of the Strategic Operations Analyst:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 1-3 years of experience in a role that requires data analysis
- Advanced or expert Microsoft Excel skills Excellent analytical skills
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience with value-based care is a plus
- Extremely detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
