The Role: 

The ForgeRock Autonomous Engineering team is building the next generation of identity and access management powered by AI/ML approaches. The team is rapidly evolving the Autonomous Identity solution to address key use cases in cybersecurity, consumer privacy and regulatory compliance. This role will contribute to development of various features for core services in Autonomous products stack.

Responsibilities:

• Design clean abstractions and API specifications to implement new features
• Design and develop cloud native services including deployment concerns like load balancing, session management, monitoring and metrics, logging and tracing
• Write efficient unit and integration tests to automate quality and the release pipeline
• Build modular code emphasizing readability, security, and clean dependency management
• Contribute to the design and development of microservices 
• Performance Optimizations in the product
• Working on Product integrations with Rest/gRPC.
• Design CI and CD pipelines.
• Leverage continuous delivery tools to securely deploy microservices to various environments and ensure SLAs for uptime, latency and throughput across multiple data centres
• Participate in on-call rotation for the Autonomous set of services.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years experience with Java SE/Java EE with solid knowledge of concurrency, collections, streams, networking, JVM tuning and profiling.
• Expertise in build and dependency management; specifically Gradle.
• Knowledge in algorithms and datastructures.
• Entity modelling with SQL and NoSQL Databases.
• Knowledge of Query Store like Elastic is a plus
• Experience with Docker and Kuberbetes.
• Understanding of Cloud Native Architecture.
• Knowledge of Java Script is a Plus
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using gitlab/Jenkins
• Experience securing microservices communications and deployments in public clouds
• Experience with Test Driven Development covering Unit, Integration and API tests
• Experience developing REST APIs using web application frameworks such as  JAX-RS
• API security : Understanding of Authentication protocols like JWT, OAuth etc
• Experience with API Performance monitoring and benchmarking is a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

The typical hiring range for this role is $136,500 - $167,000 in annual base compensation. Bonus and commission eligible roles will provide the opportunity to earn additional income based on performance against objectives. Candidate location and qualifications will be assessed to determine final compensation. In addition, our generous total rewards package includes health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, risk insurances, paid time off, parental leave, plus other supplemental offerings.
