Position OverviewThe Director, Budgets is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and managing budgets specifically tailored to the organization’s portfolio of studies globally. This role requires creating accurate, competitive, and scalable budgets for projects and ensuring that contractual terms align with business goals. As a key player in the Global Site Network, the Director will also oversee the creation of country-specific rate cards, establish strategies for developing budgets, and provide expertise to win and execute contracts effectively. What You'll Be Working OnDuties include but not limited to:-Develop detailed, study-specific budgets tailored to the needs and requirements of contracts.-Collaborate with Business Development and project teams to ensure budgets are competitive and align with client expectations.-Maintain a repository of budget templates and tools for efficient and accurate budget creation.-Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to inform cost assumptions and improve budget competitiveness.-Create and maintain standardized rate cards for different countries, incorporating local market conditions, regulatory requirements, and cost structures.-Regularly review and update rate cards to reflect market trends, inflation, and organizational changes.-Ensure rate card consistency and compliance across all regions while maintaining flexibility for localized needs as well as internal service lines.-Build and implement a scalable strategy for the development of budgets that supports the organization’s business development goals.-Partner with business development teams to craft proposals and bids that are financially sound and strategically advantageous.-Establish processes and best practices for budget development, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.-Identify and mitigate risks related to financial planning and contractual obligations during the proposal stage.-Collaborate with legal and operational teams to address contractual risks and opportunities.-Manage a centralized system for tracking and managing contract lifecycles, ensuring timely renewals and compliance.-Lead and mentor a team of professionals responsible for budget creation, and financial analysis.-Collaborate with operational and business development teams to ensure alignment between budgets, CTAs, and organizational objectives.-Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, including clients and vendors, to support successful contract execution.-Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on budget and contract performance metrics.-Present complex budgetary and contractual information to internal and external stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.-Act as the organization’s subject matter expert on budget matters, providing guidance during contract negotiations and study planning.-Develop and deliver training programs to build budget expertise across the organization.
Physical and Travel Requirements· This is a remote position with less than 10% travel requirements. Occasional planned travel may be required as part of the role.
