For almost 20 years Electro Static Technology, an ITW company, has produced the patented AEGIS Shaft Grounding Ring (SGR) technology used in millions of motors around the world to protect motor bearings from electrical discharge. Our dedication to providing an effective and lasting solution that prevents electrical bearing damage, motor failure, and expensive downtime has led us to be adopted by most variable frequency drive (VFD) sourced motor users in manufacturing, HVAC, transportation, energy, water treatment, electric vehicles and other commercial and industrial applications. AEGIS SGRs are included by many motor OEMs or can be applied to existing motors.  A Made in the USA product, AEGIS SGRs, PRO Rings, and uKits are manufactured in Mechanic Falls, Maine.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, hands-on Accountant who can operate with the feel of a small organization and the backing of a Fortune 200 parent company.

• Responsibilities include maintaining and completing tasks performed in accounting processes related to A/R, A/P. These tasks include but are not limited to:  payroll, cash, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, overheads, allocations, inventory, and financial reporting.
• Perform accounting month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and supporting schedules.
• This position is also a front office position, greeting new customers and new vendors as they enter the building.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This individual will report to the Controller.

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred.

·       Minimum 5 years of financial and accounting experience is required.

·       Demonstrated excellent oral, written, and analytical skills.

·       Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

·       Experience with Epicor® ERP is a plus but not required. 

·       CMA, CPA, or MBA is a plus but not required.

·       Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with corporate reporting preferred but not required.

·       The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with or without accommodations. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to Talk, hear, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle or feel

·       The employee is occasionally required to sit, lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
