Health System Shared Services | MIM Operations-JMA Medical Information Management Student Intern serves in a variety of functional areas within the department in addition to assisting with special projects as assigned by the respective manager.
- Analyzes and reviews medical records for inpatients, outpatients and procedure areas after patient discharge to evaluate compliance with CMS documentation requirements
- Assists with data collection and summaries for reporting purposes
- Researches medical record topics related to forms management and documentation requirements
- Reconciles spreadsheets for forms management
- Conducts analysis of quality data for reporting
- Creates presentations, reports, other documents to meetings
- Creates and facilitates surveys for department
- Assists with meeting management and meeting preparation tasks
- Assists operations director and managers with clerical tasks
- Assists Document Imaging or Data Integrity teams as needed
