Job Description
In M&A Transaction Services we help our clients in connection to acquisition or sale of companies. Our work includes financial analysis of historical trading and balance sheets and to assess consistency in forecasts compared to historical trends, order books and other known factors, to get the best possible basis for valuing a business. Our work supports a buyer with relevant knowledge to make a valuation of a business and to understand operational and financial assets and liabilities as well as other risks to be considered in a transaction. Our clients include both domestic and international private equity firms and strategic corporates.
In our M&A Analytics team within Transaction Services, we are now looking for a analyst to join our team in Stockholm during fall 2025.
The work we do
Be a part of the fast-growing area of M&A Analytics, where we use data to drive insights and decisions in both buy- and sell-side transactions. Data analytics within M&A is not just about processing numbers, it is a about creating a “single-source-of-truth” that underpins or validates the equity story in direct collaboration with the broader deal team. Our role is to transform complex data engineering and analytics tasks into simple, compelling narratives, providing strategic insights that have a direct impact on the deal at hand.
Your Role
You will join the specialized M&A Analytics team and contribute to project delivery which will initially focusing on cementing your expertise in data processing, analytics and visualisation, with a focus on quality and accuracy. Expect to engage in dynamic client projects, each with its own unique business model and data sources which will challenge you to innovate by python programming in our quest to extract strategic insights.
Qualifications
About You
You are a recent graduate or have approximately 1–2 years of experience in a data-related field. To succeed in the role you must have a willingness to learn and have an existing familiarity with programming languages/applications across data engineering, data management, data visualization and analytics as below:
A completed MBA/Master's degree or equivalent, preferably in engineering/data engineering, data science, analytics or similar
Proficiency in SQL and Python programming, specifically for data science and analytics applications with use of packages such as Pandas, Numpy, SciKit, Statsmodel etc. Furthermore, experience in data visualizations with Power BI, including use of DAX as well as utilizing Excel for analytics, including pivot tables, Power Query etc.
Strong quantitative capabilities and a grasp of data structures, data science and analytics fundamentals
Exceptional attention to details, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in every aspect of your work
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and clearly articulate complex data insights in simple terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
A desire to work in the fast-paced M&A environment combined with strong business acumen and interest in finding the true drivers behind the numbers in any business
