We are hiring CNC Machinist - Level V at our facility in Jacksonville - FL. This individual will be responsible for tooling setup for machining new and legacy parts by executing programs and operating a variety of computer numerical control (CNC) 5 axis machines. This position will be involved in programming CNC machines and machining composite parts. This person will liaise with other operators and departments where appropriate to ensure the Machining section meets the required demands and reports directly to the Machining Manager.
First shift : Monday - Friday ( 7:30 am - 3:30 pm)
Relocation assistance will not be provided.

What You Will Do
Set-up and operate multiple CNC Machine Centers, machining of complex fiberglass products
Provide programming experience to the machining process
Maintain a safety first and teamwork mindset
Aid the setting up and proving out of programs with CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer
Meet and sustain Certified Operator requirements
Support and manage the machine tooling to best achieve drawing tolerances, including offset adjustments and tool wear identification
Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to coordinate activities
Create shop aids and standard work instruction for process improvements
Participate in EHS risk reduction activities
Provide continuous improvement ideas to support lean and CORE initiatives
Use fixtures or gauges to verify accomplish dimensional checks
Assist in the training of other machine operators and machinists.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Must have minimum of 6 years’ experience with 5 axis CNC machining center .
Must have at least 2 years of CNC programming experience.
Experience using measuring tools and equipment, such as (calipers, gages , etc.)
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer
A current transferrable US government security clearance is highly desirable.
Prior experience utilizing various measuring/ inspection techniques
