Student Worker - Library Assistant - (Part-Time)

Skills:    

• Must be a student at Great Basin College

• Must be enrolled in 6 credits or more and maintain a 2.0 GPA

• Must qualify for College Work Study or RSP through Financial Aid

• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

• Must be responsible and able to work independently

• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift books, and move loaded book carts

• Good customer service skills, with experience in a customer service-related field preferred

Duties: 

• Work at the library circulation desk, meeting and assisting patrons, checking library materials in/out, and answering phone and email inquiries

• Assist patrons in navigating the GBC library website and resources, in-person as well as over the phone and by email

• Sort and shelve library books and other materials

• Assist in opening and closing the library as needed

• Provide assistance to library staff with additional tasks and projects as required

Salary:

$13.00 per hour

Hours:

Up to 19 hours per week with a maximum of 79.5 hours per month.
