Purpose

 Student Testing Services administers credit-by-exam and placement exams to students admitted to UT Austin. Each weekday, hours will be between 7 am - 5 pm, depending upon scheduled exams. The daily start time is somewhat flexible between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.

Responsibilities

  • The responsibilities of the position will include intake tasks to support the daily operations of Student Testing Services.

  • Including all check-in procedures, ID and exam verification, as well as ensuring a professional exam administration experience.

Required Qualifications

High school or GED. Clear communicator with demonstrated interpersonal skills, with some familiarity with university operations. Excellent customer service skills and experience with working in a university or office setting in a forward-facing manner. The candidate should have a reliable and consistent attendance record on the job. Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. More than 1 year working in a University or office setting handling student records and proctoring.

Hourly Rate

$20.00

Working Conditions

  • Attire: Business Casual

  • Standard Office Environment, Use of manual dexterity, Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation, Lifting, pushing, or pulling, Standing

Work Shift

  • Hours per week - 20

  • The work hours are from 7 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • Typically, the shift will begin at 7 a.m. and end around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

  • The work hours may vary depending on scheduled exams.
