Summary
The BMS Social Media Ambassador is a Graduate Assistant (GA) responsible for promoting the Biomedical Sciences (BMS) programs, events, and achievements through engaging social media content. This role involves developing, managing, and maintaining a positive online presence across various social platforms to increase visibility, community engagement, and outreach for the BMS department.
Essential Functions
Create, curate, and schedule social media posts on platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Collaborate with faculty, students, and staff to gather content and highlight departmental achievements, events, and opportunities.
Develop creative content including graphics, videos, and written posts to engage target audiences.
Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and inquiries, and foster an interactive online community.
Assist the Associate PD with tracking and analyzing social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven improvements.
Stay updated on trending social media best practices, tools, and platform changes.
Assist with planning and promoting BMS events through social media channels.
Qualifications/Requirements
Currently enrolled as a graduate student in the Biomedical Sciences (BMS) graduate degree program.
Currently attending the BMS program as an “in-person” student.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Demonstrable experience or familiarity with social media platforms, content creation, and digital marketing.
Creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
