We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the build out, development, and management of multiple teams of developers, who will establish and help in building & maintaining Supply Chain systems, platforms and tools. They will rapidly deliver world class software solutions to T-Mobile business customers both internal and external. They'll build short and long term technical strategy in partnership with multiple broad organizational partners and work closely with IT partner teams working on multiple projects.

The Sr Manager, Supply Chain Platform Engineering & Operations at T-Mobile is instrumental in leading the Platform Engineering and operational management of Device & Network Supply chain stacks . This role is pivotal in coordinating multi-functional teams to optimize processes and integrate platforms seamlessly into business operations, enhancing operational efficiency and innovation. With a strong focus on leadership, the Sr Manager is responsible for critical decisions related to team development, resource planning, and budget allocation. By collaborating with various teams, this position ensures the alignment of Supply Chain IT operations with organizational goals, driving significant advancements in T-Mobile's technological capabilities. Ultimately, the Sr Manager, Supply Chain Platform Engineering & Operations contributes to the company's competitive edge and long-term success through strategic oversight and effective management of Supply Chain Tech Stack.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manages team to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and coaching, and conducting performance reviews and conversations. Creating training, career development plans and ensures assignments with increasing levels of responsibility. Monitors and measures work tasks to ensure deliverables are provided on time and within budget.
  • Defines and drives continuous development practice improvements across technical disciplines and organizations (e.g., team structure, roles, processes, tooling, security & compliance).
  • Oversees technical relationships with multiple assigned vendors, including driving features and function requests for inclusion in future product releases.
  • Driving and owning current and future state technical road map in collaboration with Design and Enteprise Architecture and building/maintaining cross organizational teams.
  • Own platform operations for Supply Chain and Network Supply Chain across SAP/Oracle/o9 and digital integration layers; run incident/problem/change/release management with on-call rotations, root-cause analysis, and service restoration against SLAs/SLOs.
  • Lead platform stability & scalability for planning, procurement, logistics, reverse/forward fulfillment, device lifecycle, and cell-site supply chain; drive capacity planning, performance tuning, and resilience.
  • Define and execute the platform engineering roadmap (cloud modernization, microservices/APIs, event streaming, data/observability patterns) in partnership with Architecture, Security, and Product.
  • Security & compliance ownership (SOX/PCI/PII controls, audit readiness, access governance, vulnerability & patch mgmt, segregation of duties) with measurable risk reduction.
  • Cross-functional alignment with business (Retail, Care, Network, Finance), enterprise IT, and external partners/carriers to prioritize demand, sequence releases, and land change with minimal business disruption.
  • SRE & observability: establish SLIs/SLOs/error budgets, logging/metrics/tracing dashboards, synthetic and E2E monitoring, automated health checks and runbooks.
  • Vendor & partner management: oversee MSPs/SIs/ISVs for managed services and enhancements; enforce KPIs, renewals, and outcome-based commercials. 5%
