Position Overview Colibri is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, 1-2 years of relevant experience, and strong organizational skills. Additionally, candidates should exhibit integrity, honesty, and a proactive mindset towards process improvement.

What You'll Do
- Support month-end close process including;
- Prepare Month-end close Journal Entries (i.e bank and credit card transactions, affiliate revenue share calculations and payouts, professional services month-end accruals, etc.)
- Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for numerous Bank accounts, Credit cards, and Accrued professional services.
- Ensure adequate supporting documentation is in place to support financial results.
- Research, Analyze and document issues arising in the course of business.
- Initiate or collaborate to drive processes and procedures improvements related to areas of responsibility.
- Support Accounting Management with Colibri's External audits by researching and responding to accounting and financial questions.
- Undertake special projects and/or general management assignments as requested by Accounting Management.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required (CPA or progress towards CPA is a Plus).
- Strong organizational and time management skills that allow projects and goals to be completed timely.
- Highly results-oriented with ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity and honesty.
- Must be highly organized, analytical and detail oriented.
- Process improvement-oriented thinking and demonstrate intellectual curiosity (entrepreneurial spirit)
- Audit experience is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP Experience (Oracle NetSuite is a plus).
