Job Description:  Pressroom Lead

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Job Summary

Maintain efficient workflow to maximize productivity of Pressroom team while operating hydraulic steam presses for the manufacture of rubber parts including preparation of feed.

Primary Duties

• Lead the pressroom team in the operations of all equipment and tools.
• Ensure adherence to the production plan.
• Ensure quality of produced parts.
• Shutdown equipment not functioning properly and report for repair.
• Ensure all team members adhere to policies and procedures, document and report variances to Production Manager.
• Assume role of site responsibility on shifts when upper management is not on site.
• Complete required documentation.
• Perform housekeeping tasks required to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Activity Demands

• Standing/walking for majority of shift.
• Lifting to 50 pounds.
• Pulling, pushing, use of tools.
• Performing work in a hot environment.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate using English
• Ability to read measurements
• Reliable and punctual attendance
• Available to work shifts.

Experience

• Minimum of six months of working as Press Operator Level II.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a manufacturing environment.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent
