Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco, Sunnyvale or New York. 

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business.  The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. 

Our Go-To-Market Sales Strategy & Operations organization is responsible for building and maintaining the operational foundation that enables our sales organization to run effectively and efficiently.  

This individual will act as an advisor to executives in the sales and product organization and is responsible for helping crack the most important strategic and operational problems facing the business. As a Sales Strategy & Operations Associate, you will be partnering with senior executives to assess business performance and derive actionable insights focused on driving revenue growth, product adoption, sales productivity, and customer value within the Products and Services Marketplace. The Associate is also responsible for leading, executing, and scaling operational and planning processes in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.  

The Associate should have a strong strategic mindset and communications skills and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive critical business decisions. The candidate should also be able to handle highly sensitive, confidential, and non-routine information, have high attention to detail, be open-minded to challenge the status quo, and work in a rapidly changing organization while inspiring excellence from themselves and business partners.  

Responsibilities:  

Track business performance and provide insights and recommendations to advise sales leadership on forecasting and day-to-day decisions  

  • Advise senior members of the sales organization on growing and optimizing their businesses by making data-driven, actionable recommendations that help them achieve their long-term strategic priorities  
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of our various businesses and develop deep understanding of key value drivers to identify improvement areas and opportunities 
  • Lead strategic planning and operational processes of the sales organization, such as partner segmentation, product adoption strategy, financial and territory planning, audits, reports, and dashboard development, data checks & maintenance  
  • Lead and provide recommendations on a variety of strategic, cross-functional projects that will shape LinkedIn’s go-to-market motions and potential revenue streams. Present insights and recommendations to executives and global sales operations partners  
  • Establish strong working relationships with peers in other Sales Operations teams and cross-functional partners (Business Operations, Sales Leadership, Data Science, Engineering, Finance and Systems teams) to achieve objectives  
  • Improve our performance management muscle and reporting capabilities to diligently track OKRs and segment KPIs to both drive accountability across our leadership group and measure the ROI of our strategic initiatives 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or related practical experience  
  • 2+ years of experience in sales operations, business operations, finance, management consulting, product operations, or an analytical/operational role  
  • 2+ years of experience with Excel, PowerPoint, data set manipulation and visualization  
  • 1+ year with experience in SQL  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • MBA Degree  
  • 2+ years working in the Business Development, Channel & Vendor, and/or Advertising / Media space 
  • 3+ years of experience working with sales teams in a Sales Strategy/Operations/GTM capacity 
  • A motivator and experienced sales operations people, Associate who has led teams through change. You have a track record of hiring, developing, and coaching successful teams. 
  • Ability to leverage numbers and insights to influence and drive sound decision making  
  • Experience in communicating effectively and presenting to Senior Executives  
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and coll
