Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Philanthropy Coordinator located at our Greenville, SC facility.

 

The Philanthropy Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing, managing and monitoring volunteer activities, as well as assisting in the processing of donations and the appropriate acknowledgement and stewardship of donors.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Works with development colleagues to plan and execute successful events
  • Leads Santa’s Workshop Project during the month of December
  • Runs donor reports essential to the hospital development efforts and for relationship building efforts
  • Works with the Donor Development Team to complete tasks and assist with projects essential to goal achievement
  • Works with department directors to assess department needs that can be addressed by volunteers
  • Maintains volunteer and roadrunner records to include hours served, trips made and hospital impact
  • Onboards new volunteers, shadow students and roadrunners to include orientation, basic training and badge creation
  • Manages Stewardship and Recognition efforts highlighting the important role volunteers fill at the hospital and Roadrunner trip milestones
  • Effectively coordinates all communication efforts with RoadRunners, Temple Transportation Coordinators and Hospital Volunteers
  • Manages the volunteer, roadrunner and shadow student intake process in collaboration with Human Resources and medical staff liaison

Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • Minimum three (3) years’ work experience in an office setting in an administrative assistant or project coordination position required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Excellent organization, prioritzation and project management skills required
  • MS Office proficiency required
  • High School Diploma/GED required

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience in event planning, organizing, consultation, and event management preferred
  • Familiarity with fundraising techniques, trends, and best practices preferred
  • Expense reporting/budget support experience preferred
  • Proficiency in using donor management software, on-line giving tools, and CRM systems preferred
  • Familiarity with online design tools (Canva) preferred
