About the role
What You Will Work On:
As an intern on the Graph Execution team, you will contribute to the development, optimization, and usability improvements in the graph compiler and runtime that powers the MAX inference engine. You will focus on key API and performance issues, delivering end user value to the product. You will collaborate with other members of the standard library, Mojo compiler, and kernel teams to improve the performance and ergonomics.
What You Will Learn:
- Hands-on experience with a cutting-edge MLIR-based graph compiler, plus interaction with a C++ runtime, Mojo, and Python APIs.
- Mentorship from experienced engineers in compiler and runtime design.
- Operation in a fast-paced team environment where you will have autonomy to drive your ideas forward.
About You:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree with graduation expected by Spring 2027 at the latest.
- Experience with C++ and Python.
- Experience with compiler or runtime theory or implementation.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to articulate your thoughts clearly and professionally.
- You are detail-oriented and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- You have a strong demonstrated interest in working with people, and an eagerness to learn about the AI/ML industry.
- You can demonstrate creativity and curiosity for solving complex problems, a team-oriented attitude that enables you to work well with others, and alignment with our culture.
