Senior Director of Operations

Axonius is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director of Operations to lead and oversee critical operational functions, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and a positive employee experience. This role will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio including procurement, workplace and facilities services, contractors and consultants, and shared services. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in leading cross-functional teams and optimizing operational processes.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement: Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services. Manage the procurement team, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor relationships. Establish and maintain procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Workplace & Facilities Services: Oversee the management and maintenance of company facilities, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and productive work environment. This includes space planning, office maintenance, building operations, security, and environmental health and safety. Manage related budgets and contracts.
- Contractor & Consultant Management: Develop and implement a framework for selecting, onboarding, and managing contractors and consultants. Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Optimize the utilization of external resources to achieve business objectives.
- Shared Services: Oversee the delivery of shared services, such as offshored team primarily focused on G&A functions. Continue to expand and to rest of the organization to drive leverage and cost savings. Ensure efficient and effective service delivery, meeting the needs of internal stakeholders. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage annual budgets for all areas of responsibility, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation. Monitor performance against budget and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the overall company strategic plan, providing insights and recommendations related to operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operational processes and identify areas for improvement. Regularly report on performance to senior management.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies related to procurement, facilities management, and other operational areas. Identify and mitigate potential operational risks.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in operations management, with a focus on procurement, contractor management, and shared services.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in business
- Extensive experience in procurement, contractor management, and shared services.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Experience in budget management and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
