JOB SUMMARY

Cresco Labs is seeking a Quality Supervisor to oversee day-to-day quality-related activities. Reporting to the Sr. Quality Manager, the Quality Supervisor will oversee a team, ensuring that all processes, training requirements, schedules, policies and procedures are followed, and that all quality objectives are maintained. You will also lead efforts to identify potential quality risks and work with operations personnel to develop improvement opportunities. The ideal candidate must possess a strong attention to detail and experience working within a highly regulated industry.

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Supervises the quality team
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of site QA staff including performance management, setting direction and priorities, etc.
  • Assigns daily tasks, staffing and scheduling.
  • Conducting interviews, training and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communicate and escalate risks, barriers and deviations to site leadership in a timely manner.
  • Conducts annual performance reviews, monthly 1:1’s, and ad-hoc coaching conversations as needed, with direct reports.
  • Manages and writes customer complaints and product investigations, helping to assess risk, identify root cause, CAPA plans, and implementing solutions with business partners.
  • Inspects packaged orders to ensure correct content and quantities, as deemed necessary.
  • Performs reviews and audits as assigned.
  • Collaborates with operational functions to troubleshoot manufacturing and production defects, CAPA, and customer complaints. Provides advice with process improvements to eliminate errors and reduce risk.
  • Monitors compliance to established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and SQF (Safe Quality Foods) guidance.
  • Provides recommendations for product discontinuation, quarantine, destruction, rework, withdrawal/recall to operations and quality management.
  • Conducts all duties in compliance with safety rules, applicable SOPs, and other applicable guidelines.
  • Create and update written procedures with site operations personnel.
  • Utilize critical thinking to troubleshoot issues, work collaboratively with a team to brainstorm solutions, and implement improvement solutions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • 3+ years' experience in a quality role
  • Prior experience in highly regulated industry
  • Prior experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control function
  • Prior experience with product sampling, inspection procedures, customer complaints, product investigations, and CAPA
  • Prior experience in regulatory agency audits and correspondence.
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing executive summaries and communicating with senior level operations, quality management team, and regulatory agencies.
