If you’re inspired by our mission and like the idea of working for a dynamic remote-first company where you can create impact from day 1, we’d love to meet you!</p><h2><strong>Role Overview :</strong></h2><p>As a Frontend Engineer on the UX Platform team, you will be responsible for providing technology-assisted processes and infrastructure to improve the UX/UI in Jimdo. Thus, contributing to the overall user experience, individual teams’ speed of delivery, and reduction in the maintenance costs of our frontend application development.</p><p>The team is responsible for components such as the Jimdo Design System, internal frontend framework, Information Architecture, and the UI Library (the concrete implementation of our Design System).</p><p>Suppose you have a passion for lightweight JavaScript libraries or applications delivered directly at the edge and enjoy the challenge of creating highly performant, accessible, user-friendly web applications. In that case, we'd love to hear from you.</p><p></p><h2><strong>What you’ll be doing:</strong></h2><ul><li><p>Maintain a shared set of npm packages to be used across the org</p></li><li><p>Develop on our custom-built frontend framework, bringing additional features that are specific to our app environments</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with different teams to adopt and enhance the frontend framework across the company</p></li><li><p>Maintain and enhance code quality and best coding practices</p></li><li><p>Research and recommend frameworks and architectural/code design patterns</p></li><li><p>Mentor, support, and challenge developers more junior than you to foster growth and collaboration.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><strong>What you bring to the table:</strong></h2><ul><li><p>Solution-driven, framework-agnostic approach toward problems.</p></li><li><p>Ready to accept new changes in the tech stack.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of essential HTTP and foundational JavaScript principles.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in software architecture and software engineering principles and patterns. </p></li><li><p>Experience with React, GraphQL, CSS Preprocessors, CDN, Node.js frameworks and libraries, and building tools (Webpack, Vite…).</p></li><li><p>Experience with creating and maintaining npm packages.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Actions.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work with a global team in a distributed work environment.</p></li><li><p>An inclination towards writing and maintaining consistent and clear documentation for other developers and stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Experience with testing patterns (from unit to e2e).</p></li><li><p>Experience with monorepos is a strong plus.</p></li><li><p>Experience with developing and configuring linters is a strong plus.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><strong>What we offer:<br/></strong></h2><p><strong><u>Inspiring Mission:</u></strong> At our core, we are driven by a meaningful mission - to  empower solopreneurs and small businesses to succeed and  to contribute to the sustainability and vibrancy of the communities they serve.</p><p><strong><u>Flexibility and Trust:</u></strong> Our work environment thrives on flexibility and trust.
