Position Specific Description
This role will have a focus on governing and managing State and Federal regulatory compliance of vendor relationships while assisting with ensuring compliance of the organizations' general IT and workflow process controls. Experience with State and Federal regulatory compliance, legal data analysis/validation through automation, knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, is strongly preferred.
Position Overview:
- This job involves facilitating Federal and State regulatory compliance as well as implementing vendor management systems for the renewable energy line of business. This position is responsible for various aspects of achieving compliance which includes developing, implementing, and enforcing policies, standards, methodologies, and awareness using a risk-based approach. Employees in this role develop a deep understanding of NextEra Energy Resources' overall regulatory environment, threat landscape, and risks to establish a collective risk mitigation strategy.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Builds processes and solutions to provide the business visibility of regulatory risks and drive accountability.
- Develops and maintains policies and procedures to assess, monitor, report, escalate, and remediate regulatory risk while maintaining compliance with corporate policies.
- Assesses and reviews the design and operating effectiveness of controls to ensure sustainable regulatory compliance.
- Coordinates risk management efforts including identification, assessment, tracking, and resolution of risk management activities across all levels of the organization.
- Assists with training, including training material development and deployment to ensure compliance and risk becomes a sustainable business practice.
- Gathers and prepares documentation to support audits, self-assessments, and data requests.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
Job Overview
This job is responsible for assisting in the management and coordination the Company’s compliance activities. Employees in this job provide interpretive guidance and training; and oversee the development of business unit controls for new regulations or new business initiatives.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Ensures content of compliance policies and procedures are up-to-date
• Maintains the Companys compliance intranet site as an education and informational sharing tool
• Assists managers in the development and delivery of compliance training
• Maintains all electronic files, reports, filed documents, etc. related to compliance activities
• Monitors compliance activities at regulatory agencies and informs managers, directors, and business units
• Communicates new or revised compliance documentation
• Provides oversight, analysis and guidance to employees and/or business units
• Prepares Executive Management Reports
• Performs spot checks of business unit controls, analyzes and presents results
• Conducts benchmarking research on best practices
• Works with the appropriate departments to gain agreement, makes changes, and revises the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics or Senior Officer Code as necessary
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

• Experience: 4+ years
