As a Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist on our team, you will use your specialized clinical knowledge and advanced skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments, and treatment planning to support patients across the mental health spectrum. This role will have a unique focus on addressing the growing need for mental health services within Infant and Maternal Health, providing an important resource for patients and families during a critical time in their lives.
As part of this newer role, you will have the opportunity to help shape and develop programming that addresses emerging behavioral health needs and fills an important gap in care. You will provide individual, group, and family therapy while helping patients improve their mental health and overall well-being. Your work will directly support the Clinic’s mission of caring for life while helping expand access to meaningful, patient-centered behavioral health services.
A caregiver in this position works 8:00am—5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments and treatment plans to patients.
Provide individual, group, family and crisis counseling.
Utilize a clinical focus across the mental health spectrum, from anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
Participate in the development and implementation of assessments based on interdisciplinary treatment plans.
Consult with team members, statutory/voluntary agencies and relatives to ensure compliance with the patient treatment plan.
Act as a liaison between patients, families, community support workers and facilities to obtain information and facilitate discharge planning.
Educate and provide resources to patients and families.
Supervise and/or train lower-level social workers, students or interns.
Process paperwork and complete clinical documentation.
Participate in continuing professional education, departmental meetings and teaching.
