This is a full-time, benefitted position located in our Breast Center in Fairfax, Virginia. The hours are Monday – Friday, 9:15 AM - 5:45 PM.
No weekends, holidays, or call! Free on-site parking!
Who you are:
As the Medical Receptionist and valued member of our team you are someone who can effectively communicate with patients and FRC staff, works well in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate empathy.
What you will do:
- Greets patients, obtains referral, and indicates their arrival
- Registers patients accurately, efficiently, and professionally to ensure data integrity and facilitate timely claims processing, as well as, collecting patient liabilities at point of service.
- Creates accurate and complete accounts in the information system by obtaining and verifying all necessary information.
- Applies financial screening guidelines and payer requirements to secure financially collectible patient accounts.
- Schedules and registers patients for any same day procedures utilizing the appropriate guidelines for the modality.
- Escorts patients from entrance to dressing or exam rooms and performs patient appointment confirmations and screenings.
- 1 year or more of medical office or hospital front desk experience
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Able to work independently and on a team
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional computer aptitude and ability to use multiple systems and acquire proficiency in multiple electronic systems
