Job Profile Summary
Data is one of the foundations of ING’s strategy to become one digital bank, and Global Data Delivery and Platforms is the place where the global data strategy on how data is made available, transformed, and consumed gets defined, designed, and delivered. Making high-quality data available across ING requires a world-class data platform as well as data delivery capabilities as part of the broader data organization.
The Global Chief Data Office (CDO) is aiming to take ING's data delivery capabilities to the next level by further enhancing and implementing our data strategy that stipulates how we want to govern data throughout the bank. As Change Expert – Data Delivery and Platforms you will be one of the key components to deliver on its purpose “speed up the data availability” and “make data available safely” for ING. You will support on steering on the data products roadmap, increasing business value of our data, managing and distributing data in a compliant way, and alignment with regulatory needs.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support steering on global Data Products roadmap in close alignment with other data functions, manage dependencies, resolve impediments and keep track on our velocity
- Set and deploy the requirements for metadata, taxonomy, lineage, etc. to address the BCBS239 principles by design in close alignment with other data functions.
- Support steering on metadata, taxonomy, and lineage compliance by design implementation roadmap, and enhance knowledge and capabilities across domains
- Build an extensive network with key stakeholders and take on ad hoc projects as required and enable collaboration between Global Data Delivery & Platforms teams and other domains.
Job Requirements
- Sound financial services domain knowledge, including expertise at the intersection of banking business, risk, finance, and customer domains.
- Knowledge of ING organization is preferred.
- Experience working in a large (international) matrix organization spanning multiple segments and locations, dealing with global operating models and deployment across countries and/or hubs.
- Team player collaborating easily with business stakeholders.
- Hands-on reliable executor.
- Multicultural mindset and a highly customer-focused outlook.
- Academic Master’s degree.
- Creative and critical mindset with a passion for establishing community feeling and bringing people together.
- Highly analytical, bringing structure and cutting to the (real) issue fast.
- Organizational sensitivity, able to work with various stakeholders in a global setting.
- Enthusiastic, willing to help others to be successful and always a step ahead.
- Passion for numbers, Excel, and PowerPoint have no more secrets. Eye for detail.

- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Can demonstrate success in establishing executive relationships and influencing executive decision-making.
