How you will make an impact:
In this role, you will play a key part in driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives that directly impact production performance and product quality. You’ll focus on increasing yield, reducing downtime, and identifying cost-saving opportunities by optimizing processes and applying creative problem-solving. Working closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Operations, Quality, EH&S, and Supply Chain, you’ll help translate ideas into scalable production solutions. Your work will influence efficiency, product reliability, and overall operational excellence across the site.
Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process performance and enable new product launches
Develop and implement process operational standards, including statistical process control opportunities
Improve product quality by reducing variability, minimizing downtime, and increasing yield and capacity
Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, identify trends, and implement corrective actions
Document improvement project scope, execution, and results to ensure knowledge sharing and sustainability
Create and maintain standardized work instructions to support consistent, high-quality production
Reduce waste, improve equipment utilization, and optimize overall productivity and cost of quality
Work closely with operators and production teams to identify and resolve equipment and process challenges
Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
Required:
BS in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
1-3 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing (printing, coating, web processing, or similar environments preferred)
Strong proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and applied mathematics
Experience managing or contributing to critical, self-directed projects with basic project management skills
Experience with process mapping, capability analysis, and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab)
