Assistant Controller/Sr. Accounting Manager

TechOp is seeking an Assistant Controller / Senior Accounting Manager to support our growth efforts. On our team you will have the opportunity to grow professionally and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities Include:

• The Controller / Accounting Manager will be responsible for the Accounting Functions, Financial Planning & Analysis, and new business proposal pricing.
• This position will utilize analytical, business, and leadership skills to for all financial and operational metric reporting and planning for the company.
• Lead the quarterly forecasts and budget updates; develop comprehensive, budgetary, operational and financial metrics and assumptions.
• Direct all new business financial analyses in conjunction with the business proposal/RFP review process; generating comprehensive financial projections, determining pricing and profitability, assessing competitive and strategic issues, and preparing summary presentations for senior management.
• Develop and present monthly operational and financial reviews to corporate and business unit management.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to assess current operations through key financial and operational metrics.
• Understand and communicate status of key indirect cost accounting pools which are essential to pricing RFPs.
• Manage and track cash flow budget and actual figures including A/R and operational reporting of status.
• Identify, construct and complete financial analysis on profitability enhancing opportunities and strategies, proposed changes to internal processes and new business strategies.
• This position will join a two-person finance team and report to the CFO. The position be an integral part of helping our company grow and be successful.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA/CPA preferred.
• Cost Accounting and pricing experience
• Experience with JAMIS Software or other ERP
• Government contract experience is required.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, solve problems, make recommendations, and draw valid conclusions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with upper management and subordinates.
• Knowledge of general accounting essential.
• Must demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skills.
• Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong PC skills including Excel, and Power Point required.
• Ability to communicate well to internal and external customers, verbally and in writing.

• At least 6 years accounting experience at the senior manager level.
• Must possess strong financial and analytical skills including experience creating complex financial models and efficiently communicating results through the use of supporting tables, graphs, and presentation quality material.
