Parts Clerk - Madison, WI

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Parts Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing, distributing, and managing parts for both internal and external customers. You'll also play a key role in inventory control and ensuring the Parts Department is clean, organized, and operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in person and over the phone with parts inquiries and orders
• Receive and stock incoming parts
• Operate a forklift to load/unload trailers
• Manage parts inventory and assist with physical inventory counts
• Distribute parts to service technicians and record on repair orders
• Prepare and ship customer orders, including printing shipping labels
• Build A/C hoses and kits; assemble custom parts as needed
• Pick up and deliver parts from/to vendors and customers
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold company standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training a plus
• Prior experience in a parts or warehouse environment preferred
• Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs with or without accommodation
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, twist, and push/pull throughout the shift
• Strong communication and basic math skills
• Comfortable using email and internal inventory systems
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• Willingness to work overtime and travel for training as needed
