About the role

We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Global Accounting team in Ann Arbor or Philadelphia. We work as a team to manage and execute the accounting function across all regions of the world and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in centralization, standardization, and automation of accounting processes, along with experience in Flux analysis, Reconciliation tools, and NetSuite ERP.  This is a high impact senior level position for an excellent communicator reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting.  Your decisions and actions will drive the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for Clarivate. You will be a key player leading critical initiatives, with an opportunity to grow in scope and responsibilities.

​About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study
  • At least 10 years of experience in Accounting for Global organizations
  • People management experience 
  • Understanding of US GAAP & IFRS
  • Experience with accounting in ERP’s (e.g.  NetSuite, Oracle) and account reconciliation and analysis tools (e.g.  Onestream, Hyperion)

It would be great if you also had . . .  

  • A proven track record in problem solving in areas of accounting processes reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close.
  • Experience is delivering results on critical timelines with accuracy.
  • Diverse capabilities to add-value across multiple general accounting functions including P2P, O2C, IC, PC, PA, and Bank.  

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Plan and lead various initiatives to drive continuous improvement is centralized Global accounting organization.
  • Apply appropriate accounting concepts to resolving technical matters and addressing process improvements.
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of specific elements within the overall financial reporting for Clarivate.
  • Mentor the team members as well as provide training to new hires.
  • Follow Sox controls requirements and support internal and external audits for specific assigned elements of financial reports.

The Global Accounting team at Clarivate is the backbone of the Finance function. This multi-location, multi-cultural team would provide you with a great opportunity to learn and grow in the global accounting function. Hours of Work

This is a full-time, hybrid position working 2-3 days a week in the office; primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
