Children’s Mercy Park is looking for dynamic service professionals to join our team. Our Food and Beverage program serves food and beverage offerings following safe food and beverage practices. Provide extraordinary hospitality service to all guests on match days.

The Premium Server is to be a key contributor to the Hospitality team while ensuring all work is consistent with the Sporting Kansas City brand purpose: “We create memories through personalized experiences with our Club.” Sporting Kansas City associates act as representatives the Club at all home matches, engaging with guests and working to create Magic Moments for all fans.

Job Description

ASSOCIATE PERKS

• Pay starting at $12.00 per hour.

• Eligible for performance increases each Major League Soccer season you return.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Greet guests immediately

• Provide professional service

• Menu and Product Knowledge

• Carry tray(s) of plated meals

• Serve wine and beverage orders to table

• Properly set tables for banquet service

• Fold napkins to specified fold

• Problem Solve

• Promptly address any customer service issues, direct to manager as needed

• Performs beginning and ending inventory of assigned area

• Implement steps of service

• Follow safe food handling practices

• Follow all responsible alcohol service policies

• Keep assigned suite/suites clean, clear of dishes, and organized

• Maintain a clean and polished uniform

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

• Follow City Foods & Events and Sporting Kansas City policies and procedures

• Support Sporting Kansas City’s mission, vision and purpose.

• Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.

• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

• Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1-year food and beverage experience.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must be willing to work hours that vary, according to the event schedule.

• Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
