Maintenance Technician

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Under the direction of the AVP, Facilities Manager, you will perform preventative maintenance in and around BSNB facilities and facilities where BSNB holds an interest. You will provide excellent customer service in maintenance to our branch network inclusive of light electrical, plumbing and carpentry. You will also perform projects outside the scope of maintenance to upgrade facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

In the role of Maintenance Technician, your primary duties will include:

• Assist in the performance of the repairs and maintenance to all BSNB buildings and properties using various maintenance skills including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, grounds keeping, mechanical and use of associated equipment to perform maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance of BSNB equipment such as generators, HVAC units, and ground equipment to help minimize equipment breakdown and failure.
• Purchase of maintenance supplies, and maintain appropriate records.
• Assist with office relocations inclusive of equipment and furniture.
• In a time of need, may be required to perform custodial and courier duties at various BSNB locations.

QUALIFICATIONS

One-two years' experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and structural carpentry required, along with trade skills, inclusive of the knowledge and ability to use the necessary power and hand tools. Knowledge of cleaning agents and supplies preferred. Must have the ability to lift 65 pounds. Valid NYS drivers' license and clean driving record required. Prior supervisory experience preferred. You must have demonstrated time management skills and the ability to work independently.
