About the role

Smartsheet is seeking an experienced tax professional to join our growing Tax team as an International Tax Manager. The International Tax Manager is a key team member who will gain exposure to a wide variety of tax topics and will be involved in Smartsheet’s federal and international tax filings as well as transfer pricing, special projects and tax research.

You will report to our Sr. Director of Tax located in our Bellevue office. This role is remote eligible with a preference for Mountain or West Coast time zones. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Company’s non-US income tax compliance processes
  • Assist with preparation and review of foreign entity US GAAP tax provisions including return to provision adjustments as needed
  • Prepare and review foreign corporate income tax returns and estimated payments
  • Assist with transfer pricing including ensuring transfer pricing is accounted for in accordance with the Company’s transfer pricing policies
  • Assist with foreign VAT and indirect tax filings
  • Proactively manage and maintain tax compliance deadlines
  • Perform tax research for federal and international tax issues
  • Assist with special tax projects as they arise, such as tax planning, acquisitions, and new entity formation initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
  • 5+ years multinational corporate tax experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent experience in a large corporate tax department
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and online research software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, analytical and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of multinational corporate tax experience with a public accounting firm and at least 2 years experience in multinational corporate tax department

Smartsheet provides a competitive range of compensation for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. 

California & New York: $124,200 to $178,200 | All other US States: $115,000 to $165,000
