Responsibilities:

• Under close supervision, underwrite accounts, including risk selection, pricing, and acceptance of new and renewal business.
• Managing relationships with appointed agents or assigned geographic region.
• Establish and monitoring products, policies and profitability as part of a team approach.
• Reviewing policies and endorsements to ensure policies clearly reflect the terms and conditions agreed upon.
• Participate in structured underwriting training events and programs.
• Travel to visit agents as part of agency management process.
• Other duties as assigned.   

Qualifications:

• College degree or equivalent business experience required.
• At least 5 years experience in Construction Underwriting.
• Previous insurance experience desired.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with initiative and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Demonstrates strong client focus.
• Self-motivated and desire to learn the insurance industry.
• Ability to travel.
• Proficient in the use of computer programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The base salary range provided below will be commensurate with candidate experience.  In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

New York City Pay Range:$108,800—$135,400 USD
