Staff Collaborative Pianist

Position Title: Staff Collaborative Pianist (part-time) - MUSIC

Hours Per Week: Up to 20 hours of non-instructional time per week

Job Type: Staff Collaborative Pianist for choirs, private lessons, recitals, and departmental events. Additional possibility of an adjunct faculty appointment of up to 3 hours, teaching class and applied piano to music majors and minors.

Position Purpose: Cumberland University’s Oakley School for the Humanities, Education, and the Arts is seeking applicants demonstrating ability to design and assess curriculum plans that foster rigorous student learning and engagement while enhancing the necessary skills required in adult learners. This position will enhance program strength, course offerings, and student opportunities in the school under the supervision of the Program Director and Dean.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Documentation of successful work as a collaborative pianist; college level piano instruction preferred.

Education

• Masters Degree in Music (minimum) required.
