Your Key Responsibilities

• Category Manager for heat treatment and surface treatment for the North American industrial business division
• Provide commodity leadership by establishing and implementing a category strategy
• Establish and maintain positive supplier relationships
• Contract negotiations
• Negotiation and implementation of yearly cost savings
• Close cooperation within the region as well as with the headquarters in Germany
• Cost recovery of quality and logistics issues
• Managing escalations regarding delivery, quality, and price

Your Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or similar
• Strong negotiation, project management, and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to travel to suppliers, up to 25%
• External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.

 

Preferred:

• Heat-treatment and surface-treatment experience
