Your new job includes

We are currently establishing a new legal entity in Rødby to operate our retail business on ferry routes as well as in border shops.
In the position of Head of Controlling & Finance (m/f/d), you will be based in Rødby, with the possibility of hybrid working, and report directly to the Managing Director. You will act as the local business owner and key interface for all finance-related matters as well as for IT-related topics in close collaboration with Corporate IT.

You will ensure high-quality financial reporting, strong business partnering to drive operational performance, and full compliance with our internal controlling standards, while also overseeing the reliability and efficiency of local IT operations. You translate operational performance into meaningful financial insights and support decision-making for local management and Headquarters.

In particular, you will:

• Take overall responsibility for all finance, controlling, atd local IT activities at the entity
• act as a trusted business partner to local management and collaborate closely with HQ Controlling and IT functions
• ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with HQ-defined controlling and reporting standards
• analyse commercial and operational performance, providing actionable insights and driving continuous improvement of business steering and operational analytics
• ensure high-quality data, compliance, and documentation in line with statutory requirements, internal policies, and audit standards
• lead, develop, and manage the local team while fostering strong collaboration and operational excellence

Preferred Profile

• A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in Controlling, Business Analysis, or Corporate Finance, ideally in an international or operational environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex financial insights into clear recommendations and build trusted relationships across management, HQ functions, and non-finance stakeholders
• Initial leadership experience or the ambition and capability to take on a team leadership role
• Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with SAP, MS Excel, and BI/Power BI tools, combined with confidence in working with complex data sets and financial modelling
• A proactive, reliable, and business-partner-oriented mindset, complemented by a structured working style and a solid understanding of IT-related processes and cross-functional collaboration
