This role is part of our Content Design team within the Experience Organization, which uses their superpower of empathizing, understanding, and applying our users’ and customers’ needs, with the mission to create product experiences they love. Our designers come from a diverse set of skills and background - design systems, visual, interaction, content, and product design. At ServiceNow, design has a very intentional seat at the table, so our team collaborates closely with both engineering and product management from the get-go.

What you get to do in this role:

  • You’ll provide content direction, vision, and leadership to help implement and advance the content strategy of ServiceNow’s design system
     
  • You’ll embed with the design system team, working with designers, engineers, and other content creators to enable product designers and builders
     
  • You’ll bring clarity, consistency, and quality to the way we design our system, develop taxonomy and terminology, write content, and more
     
  • You’ll work with our UX content design team to develop strategies and standards on how ServiceNow uses language, and how internal and external partners should extend that thinking

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in content design, content strategy, copywriting, or related field; B2B experience preferred
     
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with solid understanding of English grammar, structure, and punctuation
     
  • Experience in user experience design or industry experience (corporate, software, web or agency)
     
  • Deep knowledge of design principles, methods, and tools (Figma, Miro, Writer)

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or higher in Design, English, Journalism, Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent combination of education and experience in other related fields
     
  • Experience crafting and contributing to content standards, terminology, and UX writing efforts at a software company
     
  • A proven track record for developing a content strategy, and tactically writing and designing toward that strategy

For positions in California (outside of the Bay Area), we offer a base pay of $163,000 - $285,200, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k)
