What We Seek...
We are looking for a career-minded Product Engineer to develop innovative designs, engineering and fabrication methods. The Product Engineer will work independently and as a member of the team developing designs from basic concepts to fully working solutions, including follow-through into production and deployment.
This position requires an individual with a strong concern for quality and accuracy with a results-oriented focus. The work involves critical and technical thinking, problem solving based on detailed knowledge of the projects, and thorough analysis of relevant details. There is a focus on self-direction, freedom of ideas, and creative solutions.
The Product Engineer position will be rewarding to someone with a good sense of humor, resourceful mindset, and ability to handle multiple tasks at once. The right candidate will have a professional demeanor and make sound, well thought-out decisions to ensure quality and accuracy in all aspects of design from concept to final project close-out documentation.
Job Summary and Job Functions
- Consistently and efficiently engineers innovative designs and processes to support the growth of the organization.
- Provide engineering and design leadership to the organization and its subsidiaries.
- Manages the design aspects of a project from start to finish.
- Designs client solutions for our BoxPop product lines (including containers and modular structure), specialty event solutions, custom fabrications, and other products to support print and woodworking divisions as needed.
- Creates 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to support the manufacture of products.
- Authors, executed, and reports on various testing to support engineering decision making.
- Provides structural analysis of components and assemblies using mathematics and software.
- Masters Britten Inc software systems, processes and procedures quickly, and consistently shares ideas for improvement.
- Continuously seeks out ways to increase the profitability of the organization.
- Maintains a high level of respect and communication with internal and external clients.
- Has an intimate knowledge of their projects throughout all stages of planning and production.
- Utilizes current industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide the client with creative solutions.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred, bachelor's degree in related engineering fields considered with appropriate experience.
- 2+ years' experience in a related industry or position.
- Proficient using Autodesk Inventor Professional.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Vault, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Products.
- Experience in other CAD software considered.
- Experience in CAM, CAE, FEA, and engineering analysis preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge in fabrication, welding, assembly, and machining.
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing terminology and methods.
- Sees challenges as opportunities and enjoys discovering solutions to overcome them.
