Description

The HR Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the human resources department by coordinating various HR functions, maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment and Staffing:

- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.

- Coordinate new employee onboarding, including orientation and training programs.

- Maintain recruitment databases and provide regular updates on candidate status.

2. Employee Records Management:

- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with documentation and reporting requirements.

- Manage employee databases and files, including payroll information and benefits enrollment.

3. Compliance and Policy Implementation:

- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of HR policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations.

- Stay informed about relevant labor laws and regulations affecting the nursing home sector.

4. Employee Relations:

- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace issues.

- Assist in resolving employee concerns and conflicts in a professional manner.

5. Training and Development:

- Support ongoing staff training and development initiatives.

- Coordinate in-service training sessions and track completion of mandatory training requirements.

6. Benefits Administration:

- Assist with enrollment and administration of employee benefits programs.

- Provide support and information to employees regarding benefits questions and issues.

7. General Administrative Support:

- Prepare reports and presentations as needed for HR meetings and evaluations.

- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the HR Manager or Director. 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

- Previous HR experience, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting.

- Knowledge of employee relations, recruitment processes, and HR best practices.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems.

Working Conditions:

- This job requires working in an office environment within a nursing home facility.

- Occasional interaction with residents and their families.
