Accounting Manager

Description

The Accounting Manager candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance, with hands-on experience in NetSuite. This role is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the general ledger, financial statements, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Manage AP/AR functions, vendor payments, invoicing, and collections.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions in NetSuite.
• Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and improve cash flow management.
• Assist in budget preparation, financial planning, and cost analysis.
• Provide insights to management on cost-saving opportunities and financial performance.
• Ensure sales tax filings, corporate tax compliance, and audits are completed accurately and on time.
• Utilize NetSuite ERP to streamline financial processes and improve reporting efficiency.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and senior management to align financial goals with business strategies.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the material handling, logistics, or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in NetSuite ERP is required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
