Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm 


Position Overview

In this role, you will coordinate the sales and operational function for in-person customer sales transactions at the yard, managing payment receipts, organizing customer transactions, and managing general site operations. As a member of the yard operations team, you will provide direct support to the Site Manager and provide excellent service to customers. You will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager on coordination of yard sales activities. 


Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  1. Manage driver operations and payments
  • Monitor and report open COD to Dispatcher and Sales
  • Process COD payments from drivers
  • Sort and scan driver manifests into system

2. Manage payment receipts

  • Processing credit card receipts from Sales staff
  • Process cash and check payments received by delivery drivers
  • Process credit card payments received by delivery drivers
  • Prepare cash and check deposits
  • Balance yard cash drawers and CODs
  • Scan checks that are posted daily into the bank 

3. Organize customer transactions

  • Maintain and updated customer sales tax forms in Pinnacle
  • Obtain and maintain customer 1099’s and W9’s
  • Regional sales operations, depending on yard location

4. Site Management

  • Mark titles for crush
  • Scan vehicle titles into database
  • Maintain company vehicle titles
  • Shred company vehicle titles
  • File salvage titles from auctions
  • Process customer and vendor mail
  • File fuel receipts
  • Manage supply replenishment and orders
  • Process mileage log for line haul truck

5. Data Governance and Reporting

  • Assist in customer set up in the region
  • Review existing customer data quality 

6. Perform Other Duties as Assigned and Assist with Special Projects as Needed

  • Attend and actively contribute to the weekly Accounts Receivable meeting to ensure financial alignment and timely resolution of payment issues 
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in handling changing responsibilities and operational needs, quickly adjusting to new processes, tasks and customer requirements to maintain smooth yard operations and ensure ongoing success


Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School diploma; or minimum of 2-3 years of experience with cash handling and Sales / Customer Service. Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school a plus. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience with cash collections.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required with a commitment to act with an elevated level of professionalism during all transactions both internally and externally.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Word with the aptitude to learn new systems and software. 
  • Working knowledge of on-site database sales software (Pinnacle preferred). 
  • Must be able to work effectively alone or with others in a matrix team environment. 
  • Must be able to work collaboratively across functions outside of Sales. 
  • Must be a self-starter with the demonstrated ability to meet timelines and schedules related to essential functions described above. 
  • Must demonstrate good attention to detail and strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • Expected Work Hours: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday
  • Ability to work occasional overtime as needed as determined by employee’s supervisor
