Facilities Soft Service Specialist

As a Facilities Soft Service Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting all functions within the Soft Service group including Janitorial Services (GXP & non-GXP), Pest Control, Cafeteria Services, Landscaping services, Space Management, & Fitness Center at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Ensure controlled cleaning logs/pest control are properly executed.
• Lead shift-to-shift communication sessions
• On-Board new personnel; set up email, quals, & training
• Department trainer
• PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) trainer.
• Plan/schedule shutdown cleaning efforts
• Review roles and responsibilities with new associates
• Assist with monthly meeting agenda.
• Communicate effectively with all groups within the Soft-Service team.
• Exhibit excellent teamwork skills.
• Develop others utilizing best practices.
• Build and maintain relationships with various departments/vendors.
• Effectively lead others.
• Inventory control for Soft Service Groups

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
• Work hours: Monday-Friday; 5:00am-1:30pm
• Travel Requirements: 5%
• Relocation assistance: No

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• PIT experience; Counterbalance Forklift and Scissor Lift
• Knowledge of and experience with Janitorial equipment
