Adjunct Faculty - Business Operations, Applications, and Technology

Specifically we are looking for instructors for the following courses:
* BOTA 218- Microsoft Excel (Must hold current MOS Certification or the second most recent MOS certification) two classes available: 1st: Tues 1-3:50 Jan-Mar; 2nd: Thurs 1-3:50pm Mar-May
* BOAT 207: Integrated Microsoft Applications; Mon& Wed 1-3:50pm Jan-Mar
* BOAT 216: Business Communications, Tues & Thurs 8-10:50am Mar-May
* CINS 101: Introduction to Microcomputers; two classes available: 1st Mon 9-11:50am Jan-Mar; 2nd Thurs 1-3:50pm Mar-May
Part--time Adjunct instructors could teach 2 courses each 8 weeks. Each course is a total of 48 contact hours (hours with students) per 8weeks. Instructors are paid $46.50 per contact hour. Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
- Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
- Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College, shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular).
- Interacts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies with College policies, campus guidelines and expectations.
- Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments.

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards. A qualified faculty member in Business Operations, Applications, and Technology (BOAT) meets the minimum qualifications through one of four routes:
1. Possesses an earned master’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in a business or computer-related discipline, as appropriate to the program; OR
2. Possesses a related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 post-secondary semester hours or equivalent of courses in business or computer-related discipline as appropriate to the program beyond the introductory principle(s) level; OR
3. Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:
- Professional certification (national, regional, or state)
- Two years of in-field professional employment
- Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award
- Documentation of research and publication in the field
- Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military; OR
4. Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in a business or computer-related discipline appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following:
- Professional certification (national, regional, or state), or
- Two years of in-field professional employment, or
- Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award, or
- Documentation of research and publication in field, or
- Documented relevant additional cour
