Duties of Position: Community Emergency Response Team Instructor. The Career and Technical Programs department offers non-transferable credit courses in career development, computer training and healthcare. The qualified candidate will have the knowledge, and skills to deliver the CERT Basic Training curriculum in person instructional training using PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and activities. The CERT instructor will design an effective community emergency plan, that includes safety protocols and teamwork allowing students to apply the skill sets learned in a managed setting. Will select instructional material, i.e., videos, PowerPoint, hands-on activities, take student attendance, and submission of grades upon completion of the course. Continuing Professional Education courses are short-term training and are completed within one semester. We continually accept proposals for new courses leading to a career.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience Requirements: Experience teaching adults is preferred and 2+ years’ experience in the field.
