In this role, you will report to the Chief People & Inclusion Officer and lead a team of People Partners. You will partner with the business to execute and realize the goals of our people strategy and support the strategic direction of the talent development and enablement needs of a fast-changing industry and global workforce.
Job Description
WD procurement has three key functional areas: Flash Direct Material, HDD Direct Material and Indirect Procurement. This position belongs to Flash Direct Material and is responsible for leading the NPI Procurement (covering SSD and other Flash products) and commodity sourcing (PMIC and DRAM) teams. This Director will manage a team of 10 professionals located in San Jose and Penang and will work closely with our R&D team based in San Jose, Korea, India and Israel. This role reports to the VP of Flash Sourcing and Procurement.
Key responsibility is facilitating collaboration between the R&D team and Commodity Managers, driving commodity strategy, and managing KPIs with respect to BOM cost and BOM health (measuring sole source, common part, multi-regions, etc.).
Oversee commodity sourcing (PMIC and DRAM) and responsibility for commodity strategy, supplier relationships, quarterly cost reductions, annual capacity bookings and quarterly allocations.
Qualifications
-10+ years of experience in procurement management (sourcing, NPI, commodity management)
-Semiconductor industry experience preferred and a leader of multinational teams
-Experience leading multinational teams preferred
-BSEE Degree and or related technical fields. MBA a plus.

- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
