Global EH&S Emergency Response Program Manager

Job Responsibilities

This corporate EH&S position is responsible for managing the global emergency response program for Lam Research’s manufacturing and R&D locations.  The position will set the standard requirements for the site-specific emergency response procedures, qualifications for responders, emergency response protocols, notification & communications plans, and maintenance of business continuity plans.  

Other Job Responsibilities

• Maintains the corporate emergency response standard. Sets the standard requirements for the site-specific procedures, qualifications for responders, emergency response protocols, notification & communications plans, level /type of protective equipment required, etc.  
• Provides guidance and support to stakeholders for fire prevention, gas leak prevention, chemical spill prevention, and release detection monitoring.   
• Ensures EHS Standard meets Lam’s Business Continuity (BC) objectives. Coordinates with BC team and security department for protocol alignment.  
• Organizes and leads corporate incident management teams for large events and pandemics.  
• Establishes training requirements for emergency response team (ERT) members (initial training, annual refresher, monthly training topics, specialty equipment training). Ensures complaint & proper training is implemented globally, and adequate training is provided. Ensures risk is not created with unqualified / undertrained responders.  
• Develops response plans for incident types (medical, hazmat, fire, active shooter, natural disaster, etc.). Develops practice drill scenarios.  
• Sets the global site requirements for emergency preparedness for all Lam locations. 
• For global sites without community hazmat response resources, helps the site establish hazmat response teams in accordance with local regulations.  
• Develops site risk hazard assessment criteria, and assists sites with risk assessments, to determine emergency response program needs.   
• Interacts with internal and external stakeholders during emergency events as needed.  
• Set criteria for medical emergency response, and fatality protocols.  
• Serves as the subject matter expert resource during gas and chemical release events.  
• Assists global sites with program establishment, ongoing program support, training support, etc.  
• Audits global programs for meeting requirements of Lam standards.  

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years experience in emergency management, emergency response, law enforcement, or as a community emergency responder.  

• Knowledge of NFPA and IFC codes, fire protection systems, emergency management team, and incident command structures.  

• Hazard risk assessment experience.  

• Must be comfortable working in a laboratory, clean room, and construction environments. 

• Ability to travel both domestic and overseas up to 25%

• Fluent in English with excellent communications skills.
