SUMMARY

The Bartender is responsible for crafting and serving a wide variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine. This role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring a positive guest experience. The Bartender takes orders, mixes and serves drinks, handles cash and card transactions, and monitors inventory levels. Strong knowledge of drink recipes, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial.

SHIFT

Open availability to work any 8 hours between 3 AM and close* is preferred.

MID: 11 AM to 7 PM

PM: 2 PM to close*

Availability on both Saturday and Sunday is required.

*We close when the last flight leaves, typically between 10 PM and midnight.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet guests and take beverage orders in a friendly and professional manner.
• Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and guest specifications.
• Check the identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and bar tools.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including opening and closing tabs.
• Monitor guest behavior and manage alcohol consumption to ensure guest safety.
• Provide recommendations on drink selections and upsell additional products when appropriate.
• Prepare garnishes, rim glasses, and ensure the bar is stocked with the necessary supplies.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain knowledge of the restaurant’s menu and specials to answer guest questions and provide recommendations.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns in a courteous and professional manner, escalating to management when necessary.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and inform management of any shortages or needed supplies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be a minimum of 21 years old 
• Current Tennessee ABC permit is highly preferred. Willingness to obtain one upon hire is required. 
• 1+ years of experience as a bartender in a full-service restaurant
• Formal bartending training a plus
