What we are looking for:
Xwing is seeking a Director of Finance to build and oversee the financial planning and analysis function, including financial analysis, modeling, budgeting, forecasting, long-term business planning and reporting. In addition, the role conducts analysis and modeling to support the development of new lines of business and to support ongoing financing and M&A activity.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain accurate and reliable financial models used to forecast and evaluate the company's long-term business plan
- Analyze and evaluate different business segments and their potential impact on overall company financial performance
- Continuously develop tools/systems and automate processes; manage the implementation of a budgeting and forecasting solution to streamline the forecasting and budgeting process
- Review historical data, predict future results, analyze and explain budget variances and report these results on a monthly and quarterly basis, including ad-hoc analysis as needed
- Perform quantitative analysis as required for strategic planning, special projects, mergers and acquisitions, and valuations.
- Assist in the preparation and review of materials used in financing activities, including investment memoranda, management presentations, and pitchbooks.
- Perform due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of live transactions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from a target school, or equivalent
- Five or more years of professional experience
- Prior experience in the FP&A function and/or investment banking
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills
- Demonstrated skills in financial modeling with exceptional proficiency in modeling tools, especially Microsoft Excel
- Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aerospace or aviation background
- MBA or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience
Compensation & Benefits:
Annual base salary range is $180,000 - $235,000
